#StartOnYourShelfathon TBR

Hello friends!

So, I finally got around making this #StartOnYourShelfathon Post. I’m a few days late but up for the game!

And, by the way, sorry I’m becoming a cryptid here! December is so busy with Christmas cleaning and presents and whatnot and I’m bad at time-management… I’ll try to do better!

#StratOnYourShelfathon is a readathon organised by CW from The Quiet Pond which you can find out more about here

I’m shooting for three constellations, although, I realise I probably won’t finish them all.

I’ll try at least? But if something is a DNF material I’ll treat it as such and I don’t know how I will handle it constellation-wise but we’ll see about that.

My first constellation are the ARCs I’ve gotten in 2019

I want to finish all books on this one at least, especially since I already skipped some that lost my interest. It has eight stars and right now looks like Orion constellation.

2019 ARCs

The second constellation are books form my physical library

Some are in English, some are in Polish. Actually, I read one of them in English but I had this translation for some time and it’s been gathering dust so I counted it here as well.

There’s nine of them and the constellation is just randomly placed stars for now.

MY PHYSICAL TBR

The third and last constellation is books I got from the Sapphic Book Club and haven’t read yet

There’re nine of them as well and again the constellation’s stars are placed randomly because I’m not that good at stars.

SBC UNREAD BOOKS

Now, I hope to finish them all (or at least DNF and get rid of the ones I won’t like) but I’m a huge mood reader so knowing me I’ll leave out at least some.

That’s why I decided to have some addictional challenges/motivators.

OTHER CHALLENGES

  • read 6 books by 1st quarter of the year
  • read 13 by 2nd quarter
  • read 19 by 3rd quarter
  • read 26 (all) by the end of the challenge
  • finish 10 LGBTQ+ books from this list
  • finish 3 books in Polish from this list
  • finish all non-fiction from this list
  • finish more than half of each list

  1. Wow, this is so organised and amazing, E! I’ve been on the fence about joining in this challenge because although I have tons of books on my shelf that I want to read, eARCs included, I’m not really good at organising and ‘going for the stars’ haha let’s see though. Since it’s year long maybe I’ll change my mind once I’ve had time to think more about how I want to do this. Good luck with your challenges and filling up your constellation maps! You can do it 🤩

    1. Thank you, Dini! I had some of the titles on my other Trello board actually so I just copied some stuff 😂😂
And I’ve been meaning to get through them anyway but I’m pretty sure I’ll need to add a DNF star because some of those may just not stick… But I’ll try for the best!!
I saw someone spacing it out into monthly TBRs, maybe that would suit you better? 🙂

      1. Thank you!! I’m trying to stop myself from requesting more ARCs until I read the ones I have so I hope the challenge and cute stars will help with that 😂
I WANT TO READ IT SO MUCH but also I think I’m in a slump… Sigh… Need to have a talk with myself about that 😰😰

  2. I love the idea of dividing up your reads into different constellations! your star maps look great, I can’t wait to see them filled in.

Hitchhiker’s Guide and Song of Achilles are both fantastic, I hope you enjoy them (and the rest of your TBR)! best of luck on the readathon 🌟

    1. Thank you, Isabelle! I thought I need to put them into smaller groups to fool my brain there’s not that many of them 😀 Seems more manageable that way!

So I’ve heard! Thank you and best of luck to you as well! ❤
