  1. Aww, thank you for the shoutout! I’m glad you enjoyed my obsessive Shakespeare rambles 😂
And as to amazing posts I read this month: Line from First Line Reader is currently doing a series where she compares the Dutch translations of Harry Potter to the English originals – it’s one of the most hilarious things I’ve ever read!! And of course, there are so many others, too, so I think I’ll definitely have to do a post like this sometime soon 😊

    1. I always love Shakespeare rambles!! Hope to catch up on his writings one day so I can actually contribute to the conversation 😀

Oh, that sounds interesting! I actually studied translation (comparing translations and originals took so much of my time!!) and got to meet the people who translated The Cursed Child into Polish (which I haven’t read and don’t recognise as canon and JKR can suck it with her transphobia anyway but still a cool thing I guess)

      1. Well, Shakespeare is so omnipresent that I’m sure you could contribute regardless of how much you’ve read 😉

And it’s so cool that you got to talk to the actual translators! Though I also agree with everything else you said – that awful play is most definitely NOT canon, and I really wish JKR would take some of her own advice and stop hurting people who are already facing tons of discrimination 🙄
